Our waistcoats are made with the same hand sewn attention to detail as all our garments. A versatile piece for jackets, suits, or worn separately as a casual or formal item. Our standard premium fabric is a Super 100s four-season 10 oz/310g fabric. It is a cloth for all occasions and gives superb drape and durability without compromising handle or comfort..
The toile process is the second step in a bespoke tailoring experience. Use of a toile (or “mock” blazer) allows us to adjust a garment as it is being built with enhanced knowledge and understanding about the fit and your personal preferences.
You input your measurements and we make your toile and send it to you to see how you like the fit.
From there, we work together to alter your “pattern” so that your final blazer is exactly what you want. Once we have created your personal pattern from your toile, we keep it on file and are able to make any blazer you would like out of any fabric you would like.
Be advised that while the toile dramatically enhances the tailored effect of your blazer, it does add time to the process.
The custom nature of the creation of your waistcoat to size and with your selections results in approximately 6 weeks upon approval of the toile for delivery.

Full Canvas
– Our full canvas jacket is the pinnacle of a hand tailoring. A wool and linen canvas is hand sewn in to the fronts of our jackets, avoiding the need for any fusing (gluing) of the suit. The canvas is sewn allowing the internals to float and the jacket to breath. The canvas supports the chest creating better shape. A full canvas jacket offers greater longevity as it’s sewn in to the jacket, so will never come apart. It’s the quality of jacket you would expect from the world’s finest tailors.
Half Canvas
– Our half canvas jackets offer a cost effective solution whilst retaining the quality you would expect from an Olde School Blazer Company jacket. Although the jacket fronts are fused we retain a half canvas in the chest to create a great shape through the body of the jacket.
